Exhilarating flight (and crashes) and heart-stopping flashes of bodies in motion fill the screen in this kinetic documentary about choreographer Elizabeth Streb and her STREB Extreme Action Company, whose dancers are made up of equal parts athlete-daredevil-artist. You may have gotten the chance to see this remarkable group perform in London around the 2012 Olympics, where the harnessed company walked vertically straight down City Hall and bungeed over the edge of Millenium bridge.
In this film, we get to go inside the evolution of Streb’s movement philosophy, the trials and triumphs of the dancers, and really get to know the exceptional dedication, bravery, intelligence and artistry behind these breathtaking performances. Streb says that, "you have to get beyond the barrier of self-protection before you can really fly," and this is just as true in so many facets of our lives.
