Dir. Matt Lambert / South Africa, UK 2017 / 41’

A creative whirlwind of a journey with rapper, performance artist, poet and activist Mykki Blanco connecting with Johannesburg's ‘Born Free’ queer creatives who give a voice to issues surrounding the politics of their sexuality, gender, identity and humanity. A new i-D documentary captured by director Matt Lambert, these intimate encounters highlight the unstoppable creative fecundity and personal struggles of boundary pushing artists Umilio and FAKA, designer Rich Mnisi, dancer Bradley, and Nkulsey, a model and psychology student in South Africa's thriving alternative queer scene.

Followed by a Q&A with Mykki Blanco and director Matt Lambert, hosted by queer grime artist Karnage.
