What are your key dates?

Submissions open: 8 February 2025

Earlybird submissions close: 3 March 2025

Regular submissions close: 14 April 2025

Late submissions close: 5 May 2025

Festival dates: 13-21 September 2025

When will I hear back from you?

All film submitters will hear back from us by 16 June 2025. If you need an earlier decision, please email submit@fringefilmfest.com and we will try our best to get back to you sooner but cannot guarantee this.

Do you have any premiere requirements?

No! Films that have screened before, including in London or online will still be eligible for Fringe! However, we will prioritise films which have not previously received a large London screening.

Do you have any prizes or competition sections?

No. All films selected for Fringe! will be presented out of competition.

I can't pay the submission fee. Can you help?

We are happy to provide fee waivers before the regular deadline if you need one in order to be able to submit your film. 
Please contact us on submit@fringefilmfest.com 
with "fee waiver / Film Title" in the subject line. Then tell us:
- the title and runtime of your film
- a brief synopsis, making it clear that it is a queer film
- a little bit about your circumstances/why you need an fee waiver
 

What kind of films do you programme/Is my film a good fit for you?

We have one key rule which is that we want films created by AND about lesbian, gay, bisexual, ace, pansexual, queer trans, non-binary, intersex, genderqueer and two-spirit people. Beyond that, we don't have any restrictions on genre, length, tone, budget or anything similar and aim to programme a range of feature and short films ranging from experimental horror to future cult-classic comedies and pornographic documentaries and everything in between.
